And now there is fog…..

Oriol Fontdevila graced us with another visit here at Metàfora last week as part of the open lab classes. One of the most innovative curators and thinkers in Barcelona he always brings us challenging and new ways to consider the relationships between the artist, curator, institution and viewer. This discourse titled ‘Art as a Mediation Agent -Towards a performative and materialist understanding of the art practice’ examined our own understanding of art and then curatorial relationships through the 19th-21st century. The resulting effect was an expanded understanding of the role of our own art within a wider context.
